Senior Commercial Data Analyst

Support Malwarebytes Finance by designing commercial datasets and Power BI dashboards, with strong SQL and dbt engineering ownership.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and executive requirements into curated financial and operational datasets
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for company-wide consumption
• Map business metrics to eCommerce vendor metrics and internal engineering data sources
• Update revenue system configurations based on new product launches and bundle configuration changes
• Run pre-production versus production data comparisons as part of CI/CD workflows
• Proactively monitor existing processes and investigate root cause when failures occur
• Partner cross-functionally with Retention/Marketing, Product, and Finance while managing multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

• Understanding of financial KPIs and ability to collaborate cross-functionally while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Advanced SQL, Power BI, and basic DAX required
• Ideally hands-on experience with dbt Core, including:
  • Advanced materialization options
  • Incremental loads
  • Jinja macros
• Working exposure to Snowflake, including tuning data model implementations to optimize execution plan and warehouse usage
• Experience building and publishing Power BI dashboards
• Proficiency with Git-based processes and CI/CD workflows, including raising PRs against CI and pre-production schemas
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field
• 4-6+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, or FP&A, preferably in a SaaS or consumer technology environment

Compensation

• San Francisco Bay Area: $155 - $175K annually
• Region 2: $137 - $165K annually
• Region 3: $130 - $160K annually
