Job Description
Senior Data Analyst responsible for analyzing financial data for management purposes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with departments and offices to define business objectives and data needs, building metrics and KPIs to support those goals.
- Collaborate with project leads to assess project effectiveness and monitor KPIs.
- Implement data collection plans to enable data exploration, hypothesis testing, and statistical modeling.
- Conduct analysis of data from multiple sources, derive insights, and validate hypotheses from exploratory work.
- Communicate analytical results and visuals to the Executive Leadership Team, managers, and staff, delivering actionable insights.
- Examine how internal users leverage historical data to identify trends, answer questions, and automate standardized reports to reduce ad hoc reporting.
- Identify inefficient or repetitive processes and pursue opportunities to streamline, automate, or eliminate them.
- Lead or participate in special projects requested by the Executive Leadership Team.
- Perform duties of the Data Analyst I role as needed
- Create linear and pie charts from financial data as directed by management
- Check financial data for errors and discrepancies
- Assemble quarterly Office Snapshots for each branch
- Gather and organize federal and state tax information for returns
- Prepare financial reports for audits (federal, state, workers’ compensation, etc.)
- Review due diligence documentation for potential acquisitions
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and projections
- Support management with other reporting requests as needed
- Maintain a full-time office presence as required by the Executive Team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- General knowledge to operate standard office equipment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet or exceed all essential job functions and performance goals
