Senior Data Analyst, Emergency Mental Health Services
Job Description
UC Health, LLC is hiring a part-time Senior Data Analyst for Emergency Mental Health Services in Cincinnati, OH (onsite). In this role, you will administer Midas+ and deliver complex clinical and quality reporting that supports utilization studies, benchmarking, performance improvement, and continuous monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate clinical and information systems (Midas+), including user definitions and security roles.
- Keep EPIC/Midas interface dictionaries up to date.
- Maintain system dictionaries to ensure consistency, accuracy, completeness, and suitability of module, shared, and interface dictionaries.
- Provide first-line assistance for system users and coordinate internal communications and Midas+ Solutions Support to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Maintain reporting templates and SmarTrack Indicators.
- Monitor interface data entering the Midas+ system to ensure consistent and accurate patient information flow.
- Facilitate ongoing training for new and existing Midas+ users on site, assess needs for external training, and coordinate it with Midas+ staff.
- Ensure daily complete backups of the Midas+ system.
- Schedule and coordinate software updates with Midas+ staff.
- Maintain documentation for the Midas+ system, including upgrade and enhancement documentation, and ensure it is available to system users.
- Include testing documentation in maintained system materials.
- Prepare statistical reports by integrating clinical outcomes, patient safety outcomes, and patient satisfaction outcomes for quality and clinical effectiveness reporting.
- Design, create, and troubleshoot complex reports across multiple environments.
- Generate reports using ODBC-compliant reporting tools, including Crystal Reports/Business Objects, SQL, and Microsoft Access.
- Meet with hospital departments to define project requirements and goals.
- Design solutions that include data collection, process control, and reporting outcomes.
- Maintain and support application and reporting solutions as the primary point of contact for hospital departments.
- Produce reports supporting performance improvement and Lean management initiatives across the organization.
- Develop provider-level quality reports using risk adjustment as appropriate.
- Analyze healthcare statistical data and perform continuous data monitoring and reporting.
- Prepare data displays that summarize clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction in an easily interpreted format.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and review literature to understand key clinical and technical issues.
- Mentor and train other analysts.
- Support technical and process needs of other departments as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Management or Finance.
- 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.
- 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience (preferred).
