Job Description

Innovaworkforce is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Juncos, PR onsite, offering USD 58-60 per hour; requires a Doctorate and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop data science, machine learning, and AI capabilities across Amgens commercial organization.
  • Head projects and participate in cross-functional teams to systematically derive insights that deliver substantial business value for Amgen.
  • Take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Identify business needs, perform SWOT analyses, propose analytical approaches, obtain approvals, and execute end-to-end.
  • Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proofs of concept using Python.
  • Work with SQL and other database query languages.
  • Lead, collaborate, and communicate cross-functionally with stakeholders to design methodologies that answer specific business questions.
  • Present analysis ideas, progress, and results to business partners in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Create compelling stories in PowerPoint and be proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements related to data assets.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing support experience, with vial filling experience preferred.
  • Experience deploying or integrating AI solutions into manufacturing or operational environments.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, software development, and general computer literacy.
  • Hands-on experience developing AI/ML models for process or task optimization.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or similar AI/ML frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis using JMP or other statistical software.
  • Experience generating technical documentation, protocols, reports, and development records.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), quality systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Quality and compliance oriented mindset with attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in AI tools and digital technologies.
  • Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Statistics, or Operations Research.
  • Experience leading projects and end-to-end executions.
  • Experience with databases including relational, SQL, and Graph.
  • Programming experience with Python, R, or SAS and familiarity with ML libraries like scikit-learn, MLlib, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
  • Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code in Python, R, or Scala; comfortable navigating a Linux environment.
  • Detail-oriented technical aptitude with strong logical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to manage many large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence business partners and IS resources to drive analytics end-to-end.
  • Excellent communication skills to present analysis clearly, precisely, and actionably.
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing tools (Spark, Hive, etc.).
  • Passion for learning and staying current with developments in advanced analytics.
  • Biotech or Pharma experience.
