Senior Navy Data Analyst – Predictive Analytics
Job Description
Innovative Technologies Corporation is seeking a Senior Navy Data Analyst to support a proposal effort with an onsite assignment at COMNAVSURFLANT in Norfolk Naval Station, VA. This role focuses on predictive analytics and readiness measurement to inform Force Generation decisions across the PESTONI pillars, combining advanced modeling with data visualization and executive-ready deliverables.
Role summary
You will lead advanced predictive modeling and readiness metric development to support Force Generation (FG) analysis. The work includes building predictive readiness models that forecast readiness degradation for specified ship classes and performing back-testing against the previous fiscal year to demonstrate predictive accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced analytical models by gaining a comprehensive understanding of relevant data sources, including ADVANA/Jupiter, and by leveraging the Department of War Generative AI resources.
- Produce strategic and tactical FG analyses of alternative courses of action supporting programs and initiatives across all PESTONI pillars.
- Create and deliver a data-driven monitoring framework so Government personnel can evaluate TYCOM initiative performance against projected outcomes.
- As analytical requirements evolve, develop and recommend new metrics, data models, and leading indicators to strengthen future readiness forecasting.
- Develop, deliver, and sustain predictive readiness models that forecast readiness degradation across specified ship classes and achieve a predictive accuracy rate of 85% or higher when back-tested against the previous fiscal year's data.
- Deliver independent analyses, point papers, and data visualizations addressing complex organizational and operational issues for Government review and use.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required at the time of proposal submission and must be maintained for the life of the contract.
- Master’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in the United States Navy as a Post-Command Commander afloat or equivalent.
- Five years experience on Echelon 3 or higher staff.
- Five years experience in database design and management.
- Five years experience in data analysis for complex projects.
- Experience analyzing specific metrics embedded within the PESTONI pillars: Personnel, Equipment, Supply, Training, Ordnance, and Infrastructure/Networks.
- Ability to understand Surface Force business practices, identify primary (organic) data sources, define secondary (non-organic) data needs, assess data gaps, and determine organic analytic capabilities to support decision-maker-focused visualization and predictive modeling.
- Demonstrated experience developing and applying machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI-driven interpretation to complex defense problems.
- Proficiency leveraging modern data analytics platforms and languages (e.g., Python, R) to conduct statistical analysis and build financial and operational risk models.
- Experience producing executive-level analytical products and reports.
- Advanced skills in oral and written English communications.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint.

Compensation & hire details
- Salary: USD 140,000 - 185,000 per year
