Job Description

Senior Principal Data Scientist role on the Sentinel program requiring DoD Secret clearance, with on site work in Roy, Utah or Manhattan Beach, California.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross functional team of professionals dedicated to analytics and data solutions.
  • Engage with program teams across the full scope to capture analytics needs and data modeling requirements.
  • Contribute to the architecture and construction of data pipelines connected to multiple program ASoTs.
  • Apply data engineering practices to manage infrastructure, storage, and transformation of data for scalable analytics.
  • Develop and publish Tableau dashboards and visualizations used by program stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leverage advanced data science techniques to create analytical solutions that yield program insights.
  • Operate within an Agile framework focused on delivering outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Recommend process improvements to business leaders to enhance efficiency.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain data pipelines from authoritative data sources needed for metrics and analytics.

Requirements

  • Eight years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; six years with a Master's; four years with a PhD; or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period.
  • Proficiency in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
  • Experience managing and maintaining SQL databases.
  • Experience defining and tracking KPIs and metrics related to business and engineering analytics.
  • Expertise in developing and managing ETL processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, manipulation, and automation.
  • Proficient with version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project management.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 108,200 - 162,400 per year.
