- Maintain and enhance data collections covering quality, utilization, work effort, and financial metrics as appropriate.
- Monitor the soundness, timeliness, impact, efficiency, and security of data collection and data reporting services through ongoing data quality checks and discrepancy investigation.

How you’ll support teams and stakeholders
- Coach and mentor less senior colleagues on these data assets and systems, including expanding their knowledge through guided support.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues to support IT-maintained applications, data collections, and integration with other data and analytical offerings.
- Assist junior staff with IT-related activities such as developing requirements and supporting user acceptance testing.
- Engage with data collection participants, report recipients, and other users to address content questions, reminders, extensions, and quality control needs.
- Consult with colleagues and constituents to enhance data collections, standard reports, research reports, external/internal ad hoc reports, and other analytical offerings.
Data requests, documentation, and governance
- Maintain accurate financial and timekeeping records to support prioritization, enterprise portfolio management, and impact analyses for assigned data assets.
- Manage tracking of internal and external data requests across AAMC, including reviewing, fulfilling, and triaging requests to appropriate staff.
- Write and maintain office manuals and runbooks describing procedures for running data collection and data reporting services, with collegial review of materials from less senior staff.
- Serve as a Data Asset Owner for assigned data assets, completing required internal and external Data Asset Owner training.
- Determine appropriate internal and external access levels, and enforce data access, publication, and security policies and procedures, including guidance referenced by Survey and Research Central, OCOMM, Legal, and IT.
- Contribute to IT initiatives related to infrastructure changes, data access and security, and system modernizations, escalating risks and benefits to unit supervisors when needed.
- Apply problem-solving to identify root causes of one-time or recurring issues and recommend solutions.
- Represent the unit, the cluster, and the AAMC data community in internal and external discussions around data collection, analytics, and reporting.
