Senior Sourcing Supplier Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and extended contracts with suppliers.
• Draft and process requisitions and purchase orders for technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software, or components.
• Maintain awareness of technology trends, market dynamics, cost trajectories, and supplier roadmaps.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Discuss defects and delivery issues with suppliers and negotiate refunds.
• Provide technical guidance within a specialized field or discipline.
• Lead data analysis initiatives aimed at cost reduction and supplier performance improvement.
• Assess supplier performance data and identify trends.
• Evaluate internal and external cost details to identify opportunities and support cost negotiations.
• Develop cost models for supplier pricing structures, including impacts from volume, spend, and material price changes.
• Apply AI techniques in modeling and analysis.
• Issue RFQs, facilitate and lead auctions, and produce should-cost requests.
• Analyze results and prepare summaries and recommendations for sourcing managers.
• Create negotiation fact sets and presentation materials.
• Support a pipeline for future sourcing roles with potential progression to sourcing manager positions.
• Demonstrate experience in supplier selection, performance management, cost modeling, and professional presentations.
• Communicate data insights clearly through analysis and visual presentation.
• Manage multiple concurrent tasks, including RFQ launches and ongoing analyses.

• Based in San Jose, CA.
• Experience in supplier selection, performance management, and cost modeling.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to present results effectively.
• Comfort working with data ambiguity and driving clarity across systems.
• Experience leveraging AI for analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, including RFQs and projects.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
