Sr Data Analyst - Digital Ecommerce (Math/Stats, A/B testing, ML)
Job Description
Target’s Digital Analytics & Insights team is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to guide data-driven decisions across its digital ecommerce landscape. Based in Minneapolis with a hybrid work setup, you will blend statistical rigor, A/B testing, and AI-enabled analytics to optimize online performance and propel growth. The role offers a salary range of USD 88,000 to 190,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience in a quantitative field.
Responsibilities
- Apply cutting-edge analytics platforms, automated data workflows, and formal methodologies to support reporting and performance measurement.
- Partner with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to identify trends, refine digital strategies, and present actionable recommendations for growth.
- Turn data, statistical techniques, and visualization into actionable insights that drive value across multiple business functions.
- Develop detailed reports and dashboards across diverse tools, and design visualizations that clearly communicate complex data.
- Prepare data models and analyses to identify patterns and opportunities within large, complex datasets.
- Hands-on data extraction, transformation, and visualization; manage large datasets, build scalable reports, and simplify data to support swift decision-making.
- Collaborate with digital technology and data engineering teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security across all reports and analyses.
- Apply advanced analytics and AI-driven approaches, including predictive modeling and machine learning, to improve decision-making.
- Foster positive partner relationships to understand data needs, provide insights, and ensure reporting solutions align with key objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of data analytics experience in a business setting with a strong quantitative background.
- Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, and experience with Python or R.
- Hands-on experience with analytics and data tools such as SQL, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Power BI, and Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, among similar technologies.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methods and time-series forecasting, including statistical analysis.
- Ability to create detailed reports and dashboards, and to design visualizations that clearly communicate data trends and opportunities.
- Experience applying predictive modeling, machine learning, or AI-enabled tools to inform decisions.
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to business audiences and vice versa.
