Job Description

Hudson Manpower is seeking a motivated AI Engineer with a strong focus on Generative AI and traditional machine learning to migrate and enhance AI-driven initiatives in a fast-paced setting in Schaumburg, IL. This onsite role centers on leveraging Large Language Models to build intelligent features and agents, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical AI solutions. The position offers an hourly rate of $40-$50 and requires a bachelor’s degree along with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications that use Generative AI and traditional ML.
  • Work extensively with Large Language Models (LLMs) to build and refine AI-powered features.
  • Design, create, and deploy intelligent agents to automate and optimize processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI projects.
  • Conduct experiments, implement new technologies, and contribute to the rapid evolution of AI capabilities.
  • Lead the migration of existing projects, including those with agents and LLMs, to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Engage in full-stack development, focusing on Python for backend services and React for frontend interfaces.
  • Perform data analysis using SQL to query and manipulate data from MS SQL Server, MySQL, and other relational databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional AI or ML engineering experience. Proficiency in Python is required.
  • Experience with MCP, RAG, semantic search, Generative AI, LLMs, and building agent-based systems.
  • Ability to stay current with new AI technologies (for example, Agentic RAG).
  • Strong Python for backend development and machine learning; solid React for frontend.
  • Expertise in SQL and experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) AI/ML services, including BigQuery and Google SQL, and other GCP tools/apis.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new requirements, experiment with new technologies, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience taking over existing AI/ML applications from other teams.
  • Ability to estimate high-level GCP usage costs for hosted/deployed applications.
  • Familiarity with functional and non-functional testing of AI/ML applications and deploying them in production.
