Job Description

BRMi is seeking an Analytics Data Scientist to help improve customer experience through data-driven problem solving. This role combines exploratory analysis, statistical methods, experimentation, behavioral analytics, and fit-for-purpose modeling to produce actionable insights for digital experiences.

Based in Vienna, VA (hybrid), the position supports work across customer digital behavior, product adoption and engagement, and Voice of the Customer (VoC) research using multiple feedback sources. The role is structured as a W2 opportunity only and requires an in-person interview.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze customer digital behavior using Python and SQL.
  • Run exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns in product adoption, engagement, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and product teams to identify and address digital experience challenges.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain analytical solutions that deliver actionable business insights.
  • Use analytical and statistical methods to understand customer behavior, evaluate digital experiences, identify emerging trends, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Apply text analytics, NLP, and AI-assisted techniques to summarize and classify customer feedback, detect sentiment, and surface recurring themes and friction points.
  • Conduct VoC research by analyzing app reviews, surveys, contact center interactions, social media, and other digital feedback sources.
  • Translate findings into clear recommendations, dashboards, presentations, and data stories for business and executive audiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, economics, or another quantitative/analytical field.
  • Experience: 1–5 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, analytics, statistical analysis, or related project work.
  • Proficiency in SQL (data extraction and analysis) and Python (data preparation, exploratory analysis, statistical analysis, and modeling); R is beneficial.
  • Experience applying analytical and statistical methods including EDA, hypothesis testing, regression, forecasting, segmentation and clustering, experimentation, NLP, or sentiment analysis to real-world business problems.
  • Ability to communicate insights into recommendations or measurable outcomes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in notebook-based analytical environments.
  • Strong curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new analytical methods and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related quantitative/analytical field; experience analyzing customer behavior, digital products, customer feedback, or customer experience; experience presenting to executive audiences and developing decision-support materials; knowledge of financial services or digital banking products; advanced SQL and Python skills.

  • Salary: USD 100,000122,000 per year
