Job Description

World Insurance Associates LLC is hiring a Data Analyst to support data analysis and data governance deliverables through analytics, testing, programming, and reusable best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep analysis of large datasets to surface trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Handle data cleansing and preparation, including cleaning and preprocessing raw data to improve accuracy and reliability
  • Develop and implement data quality standards and support the integration and automation of data pipelines with a team
  • Build, maintain, and update dashboards and reports focused on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Translate complex data into clear outputs using visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Apply attention to engineering practices, including code review and automated testing, and implement tests at the required levels
  • Contribute technical expertise to coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the data analysis and data governance team

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel expertise, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, Power Pivot, and other functions
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying BI solutions using Power BI (including DAX and RLS), Python, Pyspark, and Google BigQuery
  • Knowledge and/or experience implementing solutions with Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, and/or Common Data Service (Power Platform)
  • Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management knowledge
  • 3-5+ years of proven data analyst experience
  • 3-5+ years of T-SQL experience for data manipulation (for example: stored procedures, functions)
  • Knowledge of data models and data modeling (relational and dimensional), plus data profiling and working with large data environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork, with advanced analytical skills to analyze data issues and drive appropriate actions with data operations and business processes

Location and Compensation

  • Location: Iselin, NJ (hybrid)
  • Base salary: USD 80,000 - 90,000 per year
  • Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications
