Job Description

CFS is hiring a Data Analyst for a contract role based in Zeeland, MI with a hybrid work setup. This position focuses on strengthening and maintaining existing data and reporting systems, while building new capabilities that improve functionality, scalability, and integration across the product suite. You will spend a meaningful portion of your time turning SQL-driven performance improvements into better dashboards and reporting outcomes for teams across the organization. The hourly pay range is USD 35–41.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using data from the company ERP system and other business applications.
  • Build budget reporting tools that give managers real-time visibility into monthly spending, budget utilization, and detailed expense categories.
  • Create reporting solutions that include approved purchase orders (POs) and purchase requisitions (PRs) for forward-looking budget tracking, similar to a checkbook register.
  • Enhance and support existing Power BI reports and dashboards, taking ownership of current reporting solutions and improving them over time.
  • Work with Finance and department managers to understand reporting requirements and deliver practical business insights.
  • Find manual reporting workflows that can be automated, with emphasis on manufacturing operations, to reduce spreadsheet-based processes.
  • Develop labor reporting by integrating data from Dayforce and other systems to compare hours worked versus hours paid.
  • Analyze manufacturing and operational datasets to identify trends, improve visibility, and support decision-making.
  • Coordinate with ERP and business system administrators to access, validate, and optimize data sources.
