Job Description

Disney Direct to Consumer is hiring a Data Analyst for the Subscriber Lifecycle & Commerce Analytics team in Santa Monica, CA (onsite). The team works to measure, understand, and continuously improve the purchasing and payment experience, with a strong focus on experimentation, analytics, dashboards, and stakeholder collaboration.

In this role, you will support data-driven decision-making across commerce by designing experiments, building analysis plans, and turning complex questions into clear, actionable insights. You will also partner with engineering and data science teams to produce reliable pipelines and enable self-service exploration for business users.

What you’ll do

  • Own the end-to-end experimentation lifecycle for commerce tests, including payments and fraud prevention, by defining success metrics, determining sample sizes, and validating randomization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Product, Data Science, and Business Operations to analyze user behavior, design and evaluate interventions in payment and monetization, and identify approaches to improve subscriber retention.
  • Build and maintain operational dashboards in Looker and Tableau to track performance over time, support exploratory analysis, and provide partners with self-service tools.
  • Convert complex business questions into analysis plans that include testable hypotheses, SQL queries, statistical results, impact estimation and measurement, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Partner with Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Science to create pipelines on complex transactional data that make analysis and advanced modeling or AI use cases easier for business users.

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on analytical experience using SQL to drive strategic analysis for product or business decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply business strategy to data analysis and recommendations.
  • Solid foundations in applied statistics, causal inference, and experimentation mechanics in technology products.
  • Strong SQL proficiency, with experience working with Snowflake and/or Databricks to manipulate large datasets, build data pipelines, and interpret trends.
  • Expertise with data exploration and visualization tools, including Looker and Tableau.
  • Strong technical analysis ability to investigate issues, analyze causes, propose solutions quickly, document changes, and communicate organizational impact.
  • Experience documenting data requirements, data strategy, and data rules, including standardization, cleansing, and validation.

  • Experience using Python and/or R for statistical analysis and model building.
  • Experience with global billing, payment processing, and/or fraud prevention.

Compensation: USD 97,500 - 130,700 per year.
