Job Description

Data Engineer III role on Deloitte’s AI & Data team focused on batch and streaming pipelines and reliable downstream data delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines supporting analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence use cases
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes for structured and unstructured data across multiple source systems
  • Implement data models, data quality controls, and validation processes to support accurate and reliable consumption
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable data engineering solutions
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of data solutions in cloud and enterprise environments

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • 1+ years of Databricks project experience or Databricks Associate Developer certification
  • 4+ years building extract, transform, and load pipelines in Databricks
  • 4+ years creating and maintaining bronze, silver, and gold tables in Databricks
  • 4+ years using PySpark and SQL in a developer-focused role
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on work needs and client/industry engagements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • Experience supporting data modernization programs for government or public sector organizations
  • Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark
  • Experience with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
  • Experience implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment for data engineering solutions
  • Experience implementing relational, dimensional, and analytical data modeling

Location: Rosslyn, VA (onsite)

Salary: USD 124,700 - 207,800 per yearly

Minimum Experience: 1 years
