Data Engineer - Talent Acquisition Operations
Job Description
In this role, you will help power Recruiting and Hiring Operations by building reliable data foundations, reporting workflows, and automation. You will work across functions to transform recruiting processes into dependable datasets, dashboards, and operational tools.
Role Overview
You will build and maintain datasets and pipelines that support recruiting workflows, integrate with recruiting systems, and deliver reporting outputs for performance tracking and operational audits. The position also involves monitoring pipeline health and continuously improving reporting as recruiting processes evolve.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve datasets and pipelines supporting Recruiting
- Integrate data from systems such as Lever, Workday, Foundry, and other recruiting systems
- Develop reporting datasets and dashboards covering recruiting performance, candidate pipelines, recruiting programs, and operational audits
- Evaluate existing data integrations to reduce latency and implement necessary changes
- Partner with central Data and platform teams on warehouse connections, schema changes, API behavior, and source-system migrations
- Support integrations between recruiting systems and internal tools, including writeback of data updates
- Design data access and reporting solutions with confidentiality protections, role-based permissions, and regional or organizational access boundaries
- Create clear documentation for sensitive workflows and ensure operational users understand data limitations
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting and workflows as recruiting processes change
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business leaders to understand user behavior and platform-wide patterns
- Monitor pipelines for stability and suggest or implement efficiency initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Data Science, Finance, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or other quantitative fields
- 1+ years of experience in a data analytical role
- Expertise in Python and data manipulation to solve complex questions; experience with pySpark, pandas, or polars is a plus
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational or structured data
- Proficiency with BI tools, SQL, and the organization and analysis of data
- Fluency in TypeScript, or another general-purpose programming language
- Ability to create reusable data models, testing frameworks, and data quality checks
Preferred Focus and What You Bring
- Proven ability to build and maintain data pipelines, datasets, and analytics data products
- Hands-on experience with Foundry, Contour, or comparable data and analytics platforms
- Experience working with Recruiting, HR, People, CRM, ATS, or other operational data; Lever experience preferred
- Proficiency integrating APIs, data warehouses, and SaaS systems
- Familiarity with workflow automation, writeback processes, and event-driven integrations
- Working knowledge of data governance, privacy, retention, access controls, and compliance-related workflows

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is USD 100,000 to 145,000 per year.
Total compensation may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus, and other potential future incentives. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus, the value of benefits offered, and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.
Location and Work Style
New York, NY (onsite). Employees are encouraged to work from offices to foster connectivity and innovation. Many teams offer hybrid options (WFH a day or two a week). If a role is specified as Onsite, you are required to work from an office.
