Data Scientist

Edelman Intelligence is building Big Data, machine learning, and AI capabilities to power Predictive Intelligence. In this Data Scientist role, you will help deliver analytics for clients, contribute to new approaches, and support the team through standardized code and mentoring as you develop and scale predictive solutions.

Location: Chicago, IL (hybrid)
Compensation: USD 139,818 - 144,818 per yearly

What you’ll do

• Support day-to-day project execution, including client deliverables, status updates, and project management.
• Work with data from disparate sources, preparing clean datasets for downstream data science.
• Run statistical modeling to support client work.
• Create client-facing materials, such as PowerPoint slides and charts, turning analytical outputs into clear client stories.
• Build standardized code and processes that the larger team can reuse.
• Assist senior staff with client proposal development.

Core modeling and data engineering

• Develop ETL pipelines integrating Paid, Owned, Earned, Social, and Survey data using Python, Pandas, and Azure Data Factory.
• Apply predictive modeling techniques including XGBoost, Random Forest, and ensemble algorithms.
• Perform cluster analysis such as K-means and hierarchical methods for audience or brand segmentation.

Skills and tools

You’ll work across Python, R, SQL, and BI tools to deliver end-to-end analytics and insights. Key technologies include:

• Python, Pandas, R, SQL
• Tableau and Power BI
• Cloud data lake architecture on AWS, Azure, and GCP
• GitHub and GitLab
• Jira, Asana, and Confluence

Requirements

• Minimum experience: 5 years
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Marketing Analytics, or a related field
