Data Scientist
Job Description
Tombras is seeking a Data Scientist to lead end-to-end client engagements in advanced marketing analytics and to help build proprietary tooling alongside bespoke marketing science offerings. This onsite role is based in Knoxville, TN, with optional relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements for advanced analytics, including Media Mix Modeling, Message Mix Modeling, Multi-Touch Attribution, forecasting, and support for testing, experimentation, and optimization.
- Develop the framework and approach for marketing science and build bespoke offerings.
- Use best-in-class tooling to develop proprietary Martech in partnership with the Technology and Media practices.
- Identify new and innovative data sets that improve existing modeling work or enable delivery of net-new models.
- Communicate statistical results clearly to clients, supporting continued engagement and implementation.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Operations Research.
- (Optional) Experience in marketing science or advertising analytics.
- Mastery of advanced analytical techniques, including Multivariate/Bayesian Regression, Randomized Control Trials, Media Mix/Multi-Touch Attribution, Time-Series, Forecasting, Predictive Modeling, and Discrete Choice Models.
- Strong working competency with Python, R, SQL, and other commonly used statistical tools.
- Client services mindset.
- Ability to influence clients and partner agencies to act on insights.
- Skill in distilling complex information into concise graphical presentations for senior stakeholders.

Team and Role Context
This role is foundational to the data science team, partnering with analytics, media, and data-ops teams. You will build proprietary tooling, work on brands with household recognition, and contribute to team growth as the agency scales.
