Job Description

The Data Scientist role at Agile Defense is an onsite position based in Fort Meade, Maryland. This role supports large-scale projects and software solutions, requiring active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance. The position offers a structured path across multiple levels with a focus on advanced analytics, machine learning, and client collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees technical design, development, and implementation of large projects or major software products and solutions for clients.
  • Assists in defining architecture requirements and establishing design and development standards.
  • Consults with management and clients regarding feasibility and viability of product plans and designs.
  • Incorporates emerging technologies and product supportability into design and implementation.
  • Serves as the primary technical resource to the development team.
  • May act as team leader, prioritizing group tasks, assigning work, and reviewing outputs of junior developers.
  • Provides product demonstrations and engages in trade shows, seminars, industry panels, and user group meetings.
  • Interacts with customers regarding strategies, requirements, problem solving, and support.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph required for consideration
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5 years of experience; an advanced degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience
  • Proficient in Python
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with end-to-end workflows or projects
  • 3+ years of Defensive Cyber Operations experience
  • 3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation

Compensation

USD 120,000 - 170,000 per year
