Federal Lead Data Analyst
Job Description
Oracle is seeking a Federal Lead Data Analyst to join the Arlington, VA team onsite, supporting Federal Healthcare initiatives with rigorous data analysis and actionable insights. The role centers on delivering dashboards, models, and strategic analyses to inform decision making and improve delivery outcomes within a government contracting and security-sensitive environment. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience are required.
Responsibilities
- Examine program data to detect trends, risks, issues, performance gaps, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Develop and sustain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that empower leadership and clients to decide effectively.
- Build analytical models for forecasting, capacity planning, budget tracking, operational performance metrics, and overall program health evaluations.
- Ingest, cleanse, validate, and harmonize data from diverse sources to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Collaborate with program managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to specify metrics, reporting requirements, and success criteria.
- Support risk management by evaluating leading indicators, interdependencies, schedule trends, and performance data.
- Turn analytical results into actionable recommendations, concise executive summaries, and presentation materials.
- Assist in business process improvements via data-driven analysis and documentation.
- Ensure deliverables comply with quality, regulatory, and documentation standards.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements of reporting processes, data models, and analytics practices.
- Operate effectively within Federal Healthcare, government contracting, and security-sensitive settings.
Requirements
- Robust abilities in data analysis, data modeling, and problem solving.
- Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level, including formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and data validation.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboards, data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices.
- Experience automating reporting and data workflows with macros or VBA.
- Capacity to interpret data and convert findings into actionable business insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
- Clear communication of complex analyses to program leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience handling structured datasets, operational metrics, financial data, or program performance data.
- Familiarity with SDLC, business process analysis, or program management environments.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
