Technology in use includes Excel and Minerva, providing hands-on experience with real-world financial and operational data and exposure to emerging AI-driven analytics in a business setting.
Responsibilities
- Examine large spend datasets using internal tools to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
- Validate financial transactions and supporting documents for policy compliance
- Present findings to clients and address inquiries with clear, professional communication
- Organize and steward client data, reports, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Classify supplier categories and lines of business within the spend data
- Perform investigative analyses to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential issues
- Conduct quality assurance on reports and audit outputs
- Prepare and curate datasets for analysis, including data intake, validation, and processing
- Maintain client-specific configurations within internal software systems
- Help coordinate customer training sessions and communications
- Support uploading, testing, and validation of data within our AI platform
- Contribute to refining internal processes and tools through feedback and testing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- 2 to 7 years of Financial Data Analyst experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas); openness to learning more advanced features
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Curious and inquisitive mindset with a drive to investigate and understand data
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential information
