Job Description

Infosys Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant for Master Data Analysis focused on manufacturing clients and enterprise master data governance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagements at manufacturing clients addressing industry challenges tied to updating and transforming manufacturing facilities with new technologies to increase throughput, improve quality, lower operational cost, and improve sustainability
  • Run interviews, workshops, and walkthroughs with subject matter experts and process owners to elicit and document requirements
  • Understand manufacturing and supply chain business processes including engineering, production, quality control, inspection, procurement, planning, distribution, warranty, and returns
  • Collect and analyze business requirements and processes; develop data maps and business cases to support transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the client organization and Infosys on manufacturing and supply chain transformation programs
  • Mentor junior consultants and provide leadership within the engagement team
  • Partner with other Infosys technology delivery streams to shape a value proposition for the client
  • Publish thought leadership on manufacturing industry trends and challenges and opportunities, including AI opportunities in manufacturing
  • Support business development activities, including presales and sales process support; assist the client plant team with plant operations and system transactions, plus coaching existing plant team members
  • Maintain and govern master data for Material Masters, Business Partners (Customers/Vendors), BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Cost Centers, and other SAP S/4HANA master data objects to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Enforce data quality and standards through data validation, duplicate checks, data profiling, and ongoing monitoring to support a single source of truth
  • Manage master data creation and change processes by reviewing requests, applying governance rules, coordinating approvals, and ensuring compliance with established workflows and controls
  • Support manufacturing and supply chain operations by ensuring BOMs, product hierarchies, MRP parameters, production versions, and material planning attributes are maintained correctly for planning and execution
  • Drive data governance and compliance with business data owners, stewards, and functional teams to set policies, ownership models, audit trails, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Support data migration, integration, and continuous improvement by cleansing legacy data, validating conversion results, troubleshooting data issues, and improving master data processes and controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with manufacturing sector companies as a direct employee or consultant
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry trends such as Industry 4.0, digitization, AI/ML, and cloud
  • Experience in process improvement through current-state analysis, root cause analysis, developing insights, identifying solutions, and designing future states
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation development and executive-level presentations
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation
  • Proven ability to lead projects and build effective business relationships
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, de-construct problems, analyze challenges, and develop structured solutions
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role
  • Willingness to work in a cross-cultural team with flexibility to support multiple time zones as needed
  • Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and challenging constraints
  • Ability to commute to work locations in Marshall, MI, 4 days per week
  • Strong materials management background in a manufacturing environment plus SAP S/4HANA user experience
  • Accountable for ensuring business-critical master data is accurate, governed, and fit for use across planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and finance processes
