Mortgage Servicing Sr Data Analyst (On-site)
Job Description
This on-site Senior Mortgage Servicing Data Analyst role in Coppell, TX focuses on leading analytics-driven initiatives to improve operational performance and client service for internal operations.
Responsibilities
- Own accountability for a defined group of operational departments or third-party clients, identifying and implementing new operational or client-focused strategies.
- Collaborate in a team-driven environment, contributing to the design and execution of value-added strategies that influence current practices and policy.
- Monitor key operational risk metrics, investigate issues, and coordinate resolutions to mitigate risk and protect service quality.
- Compile performance metrics for monthly operational or client reviews and propose additional metrics to enhance visibility.
- Communicate complex ideas clearly to performance managers and assess potential obstacles to implementation through active listening.
- Maintain working knowledge of existing business processes and reporting frameworks.
- Retrieve and access data from the data warehouse to support analysis and reporting needs.
- Engage in query optimization and performance tuning to improve data retrieval efficiency.
- Mentor teammates in SQL programming, sharing best practices and guidance.
- Present ideas and findings succinctly to diverse audiences, including operations staff and senior leadership.
- Perform related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, quantitative, or STEM field.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant data analyst experience in a financial setting.
- Strong business communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work well both independently and with others.
- Proficiency in Excel, including graphs, pivot tables, and formulas.
- Experience visualizing data in Tableau, Power BI, R, or Python.
- Expertise in SQL programming and optimization.
- Fast learner capable of assimilating new ideas in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience performing business, data, and statistical analysis is a plus.
- Experience with PowerPoint and Visio is a plus.
- Natural entrepreneurial interest is a plus.
