Network Operations Analytics Engineer
Job Description
Leidos seeks a Network Operations Analytics Engineer to support GSM-O II/JCSE at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL, with a salary range of USD 92,300 to 166,850 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data collection methods to systematically capture key performance metrics across missions; improve data quality and collaborate with vendors to enhance tools.
- Refine customer reporting requirements and develop detailed mission reports aligned with operational objectives.
- Analyze trouble ticket data, generating reports on creation, response, and resolution times; identify trends and categorize issues to boost operational performance.
- Monitor network performance by analyzing bandwidth utilization (peak and average) and evaluating performance throughout the mission lifecycle.
- Create comprehensive process documentation and establish a repeatable framework for future mission support.
- Present recommendations, reporting, and technical findings to senior Government and military leadership to support decision making.
- Develop unique data sets using existing tools and recommend additional tool sets to enhance data collection.
- Engineer and recommend new tools or scripted solutions to meet mission needs.
- Develop reporting tools and reports that meet customer objectives; manage data storage and retention; supply ad hoc reporting as required.
- Conduct analysis and assessments of emerging technologies and their applicability to operations.
- Propose functional solutions to satisfy stakeholder requirements and deliver detailed periodic reports supporting Joint Network Operations Center (JNOC).
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (examples: CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+).
- CCNA certification highly desired.
- Experience with network management platforms and ticketing systems.
- Database experience.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Education: Master’s degree required; or Bachelor’s with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years; alternative combinations may be considered in lieu of degree.
