Job Description

The Quality Control Data Analyst Trainee role at Santa Fe County is an onsite position in Santa Fe, NM. Under supervision, the incumbent assists with analyzing and auditing data in the Assessor’s Office databases to ensure an error-free environment and supports quality control measures. The position offers an hourly rate of USD 21 to 25.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with New Mexico statutes and IAAO industry best practices across all duties.
  • Ensures every incoming correspondence is entered into the prescribed system to enable compilation, calculation, and thorough tracking.
  • Supports routing of correspondence to the appropriate division and ensures timely feedback is recorded in the log.
  • Aids in auditing system data and related documents to assess process effectiveness and determine necessary corrections, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Maintains organized records and communicates anomalies to Assessor’s Office staff to prevent potential issues.
  • Supports updates to agency policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with colleagues across departments to implement quality control measures.
  • Maintains historical data to spot obvious errors and anomalies.
  • Helps prepare reports for supervisors to support management tools that monitor and enhance efficiency in the assessment workflow.
  • Supports the annual audit process as needed.
  • Supports office staff to maintain quality customer service.
  • Attends meetings, seminars, workshops, and training sessions as required.
  • Provides support to the Quality Control Manager on assigned projects.
  • Completes all designated or assigned training.
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing, plus familiarity with standard office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to learn and operate software in a Windows environment, including Proval, Ascend, AS400, and Pictometry.
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic setting with shifting priorities and tight deadlines; able to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks independently; capable of multi-tasking with limited supervision.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; ensure accuracy in calculations; handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Ability to present information clearly in writing and verbally; build effective, professional relationships with colleagues and the public.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in both office and outdoor environments with varying weather, including exposure to dust, fumes, airborne particles, and allergens.
  • Occasional travel and overtime may be required.
  • May be required to travel.
  • While performing duties, the employee may stand, walk, and sit; reach with hands or arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Clarity of vision at long and short distances is required.
  • Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must pass a county paid pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Must pass a county paid criminal background screening.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Class D Driver’s License for anticipated County vehicle duties.
  • Must sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure agreement upon employment.
