Job Description
A senior Cost Engineer and Data Analyst role onsite in Herndon, VA, supporting cost modeling, data collection, dashboard automation, and stakeholder communications for Lockheed Martin’s Strategic Missile and Defense LOB, with potential cross-LOB opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Apply established cost models to relevant captures and proposals.
- Conduct cross-checks to validate program estimates.
- Design, build, and deploy dashboards used by the team.
- Prepare analyses and present results to colleagues and senior staff.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Business Development, Program Finance, Estimating, Proposal Management, and ICE to discuss model results.
- Maintain subject matter expertise on cost estimates and drivers and respond to questions.
- Collaborate with data science analysts to build and enhance tools and capabilities for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Opportunity to grow and upskill in data science disciplines and related technical skills.
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Math, Operations Research, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Strong sense of accountability and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with cost models, data collection, data analytics, systems engineering, or finance, or related areas.
