Job Description

Senior Data Scientist with government clearance based in Sterling, VA, in a hybrid work arrangement with General Dynamics Information Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Apply analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets and build data‑driven solutions to complex business challenges
  • Investigate, analyze, and automate automated search and reporting from the customer environment or enclave
  • Assess, test, and recommend AI/ML models and tools including cloud‑based modules, third‑party modules, and open source products
  • Develop user interfaces and dashboards for search, reporting, and monitoring within hybrid cloud or customer‑provided cloud environments
  • Ensure cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures align with security requirements
  • Identify security risks, determine causes of violations, and propose procedures to prevent future incidents and strengthen security
  • Provide coaching and guidance to less‑experienced professionals when needed
  • Contribute to other duties related to advancing data science and AI/ML initiatives
  • Develop AI/ML tools tailored to customer requirements
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to satisfy contractor obligations
  • Engage with customer stakeholders and the PMO on a regular basis
  • Lead innovative methods to apply AI/ML for improved risk assessments
  • Contribute to project planning and weekly reporting cycles
  • Document design details, tool requirements, and user guides
  • Set up tool demos for stakeholders

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science
  • Experience: 10+ years of related experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Minimum Secret Clearance
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefits Information

  • The likely salary range for this position is $152,150 - $205,850. This is not a guarantee of compensation; salary is determined by experience, location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside the range.
