Senior GEOINT Data Scientist
Job Description
This senior GEOINT Data Scientist position is based onsite in Springfield, Virginia, at ManTech, applying advanced data science to support critical GEOINT data environments and intelligence analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data within modeling and analytics environments to streamline evaluation of unique datasets and address complex intelligence challenges.
- Lead and contribute to solution design and refinement of existing processes.
- Collaborate with program managers and product owners to translate roadmap features into components and tasks, estimate timelines, identify resource needs, propose solutions, and assess risks.
- Apply exploratory data analysis to uncover meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends in complex data.
- Research and implement optimization models and strategies to guide data management and analysis activities.
- Utilize big data analytics tools across large, diverse datasets to deliver actionable insights and assessments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in GEOINT analysis, intelligence analysis, or a related technical field.
- An Associate degree may substitute for two years of experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for three years of experience.
- A Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
- A PhD may substitute for three years of experience.
- Professional certifications may substitute for up to six months of experience.
- Extensive experience supporting Intelligence Community operations with expert ability to manipulate and analyze structured and unstructured data.
- Proven experience in data mining and in developing, maintaining, and manipulating databases.
- Proven ability to identify potential system enhancements, new capabilities, concept demonstrators, and business cases for capabilities.
- Proven experience using GOTS data processing and analytics capabilities to modernize analytic methodologies.
- Proven experience directing activities of highly skilled technical and analytical teams responsible for developing solutions to complex analytical or intelligence problems.
- Experience conducting multi-INT and technology specific research to support mission operations.

Clearance Required
An active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50 percent of the workday.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and similar equipment.
- Frequently communicate with coworkers, management, and senior personnel, including delivering presentations; must exchange accurate information in these interactions.
