Job Description
Lee Health offers a remote-friendly Senior Operations Data Analyst - CDI role focused on revenue cycle coding and documentation. You will leverage data analytics to identify inefficiencies, partner with mid-revenue cycle teams, and drive coding and documentation education opportunities for physicians, hospital staff, and LPG providers. This position supports CDI initiatives and contributes to data-driven improvements across the revenue cycle.
Responsibilities
- Detect operational inefficiencies in revenue cycle coding and documentation
- Generate reports and dashboards to inform decision making
- Collaborate with mid-revenue-cycle teams to align processes
- Apply data analytics to enhance coding and documentation practices
- Conduct data mining to reveal coding gaps
- Conduct data mining to identify coding volumes
- Identify documentation opportunities for physician and hospital coding education teams and LPG providers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, accounting, healthcare administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in patient accounting, finance, revenue cycle, or another analytical role
- Preferred certifications include Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or a data analytics certification or equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of Epic and Solventum
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Power BI, Excel, Epic Slicer Dicer, and Microsoft Access
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to investigation and research
- Strong analytical mindset with emphasis on process flow and root-cause analysis
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of revenue cycle practices related to coding and documentation is preferred
