Job Description

The Senior Business Data Analyst role at DHL Supply Chain focuses on transforming data into actionable insights, building dashboards, and leading analytics projects across multiple sites to support warehouse operations and data-driven decision making.

Job Details

  • Location: Westerville, OH (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 70,000 - 115,000 per year
  • Minimum experience: 3 years
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to inform operational and strategic choices
  • Execute end-to-end Power BI development, including data visualization and back-end data model design
  • Cleanse, model, and analyze data using SQL and DAX, applying statistical techniques to identify trends and drive improvements
  • Establish and sustain standardized reporting tools for the site or sector
  • Support HR, Finance and other functional teams with tailored analytical solutions to meet evolving business needs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Power BI inquiries and analytics community initiatives
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to boost data literacy and tool adoption
  • Manage analytics projects autonomously across multiple sites
  • Design and implement ETL data pipelines from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources
  • Leverage Python, R, or other analytics tools to enhance reporting and automation
  • Stay current with modern data analytics trends and apply best practices to improve processes
  • Support site startups as needed by implementing analytics tools and reporting frameworks

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent professional experience, required
  • Experience: 3+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, required
  • SQL and scripting: Extensive experience with SQL or similar languages (Python or R) to query, clean, and transform data, required
  • Power BI: Proficiency in building dashboards and reports from scratch, required
  • DAX: Proficiency in writing DAX expressions to automate and enhance Power BI reports, required
  • Data pipelines: Experience designing and managing data pipelines and working with diverse data sources, required
  • Analytics concepts: Strong understanding of statistical concepts, data modeling techniques, and modern analytics trends, required
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, required
  • Autonomy and leadership: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross-functional projects, required
  • Onsite requirement: Must be able to work fully onsite if the role is based out of a warehouse, required
