Job Description

News Corp is looking for a Sr Data Analyst to help power a live product line through a measurement framework built with real business outcomes in mind. This onsite role in Austin, TX partners closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales to turn marketplace and funnel insights into measurable product impact.

What You’ll Own

  • End-to-end measurement ownership for a live product line, including KPIs, dashboards, and instrumentation, not just ad hoc analysis.
  • Serve as the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand product performance and produce actionable insights that either improve results or double down on what is working.
  • Drive deep-dive analysis using advanced techniques such as A/B experimentation, statistical modeling, matched pair approaches, and/or machine learning to understand engagement at the lead and feature level and make recommendations.
  • Lead opportunity identification and sizing, including forecasting and opportunity sizing to evaluate proposed product enrichment, explain short-run and long-run dynamics, and set targets for improving lead generation and funnel performance.
  • Connect with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data architecture, data visualization, data modeling, and testing platforms.
  • Build trust through adoption, including ensuring Seller Customer interactions are included in the build out of Amplitude, and advocating for usage across teams.
  • Understand key drivers of Net Promoter Score (NPS) for seller-focused customer products and identify actionable paths for product and customer care improvements.
  • Use quantitative analysis, ad hoc reporting, and statistical models to assess product engagement and consumer funnel conversion trends.
  • Create insights across the full lifecycle, from Analytic Plan creation through End-of-Analysis summaries.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Math, Economics (or equivalent work experience) required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with 3+ years.
  • Preferred: experience using data to analyze product feature performance.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with data exploration and visualization tools such as Tableau, Shiny, or Streamlit.
  • Experience with cloud-based data environments including AWS and Snowflake.
  • Advanced technical and modeling skills including Excel or Google Sheets (pivot, vlookup) and data analytics.
  • Understanding of experimentation and statistics concepts such as confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
  • Ability to think strategically about product performance drivers and analyze conversion funnels with clear fallout points.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative environment.
  • Self-motivated, self-managing, with strong time management and organizational skills.
