Dallas, TX hybrid role for Baylor Scott & White Health as a Supply Chain Strategic Data Analyst.

Job Summary

The role tackles advanced data management challenges, develops and maintains data management solutions, and collaborates with both business and technical stakeholders. This is a career level position.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection and governance: Collect, cleanse, align, maintain, and manage data from multiple teams to support overarching business goals, delivering leadership visibility and enabling efficient operations.
  • Data quality and standards: Ensure accuracy and consistency by understanding how system data is used by stakeholders, establish data standards, monitor quality with automated and manual methods, and address issues.
  • Advisory support: Provide guidance for roles less focused on data management, covering policies, data administration, design, implementations, updates, maintenance, documentation, reporting, and R&D for medium complexity data ecosystems.
  • Data governance operations: Execute data management requirements including data gathering, quality control, disaster recovery, high availability, and align data with business goals, decision rights, and process efficiency; manage software installations and configurations for data ecosystems of medium complexity.
  • Process improvement: Implement third party or new data management processes to analyze data quality and recommend performance improvements; apply data management best practices and techniques.
  • Specialist depth: Act as a specialist in two or more data management areas (collection, consistency, organization, control, operational alignment) with applicable certifications; other specialties as defined by manager.
  • Work prioritization: Prioritize tasks, operate with appropriate direction, and complete assignments within deadlines with occasional supervision.
  • Progress tracking: Monitor project status, inform team leaders and customers of issues or workload, and provide timely status reports with minimal supervision; log work time as required.

Requirements

  • Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and four years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: Four years of experience in data management, analysis, and operations.

Schedule

Mostly offsite with in-office work required two days per week.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • Four years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries
  • Cloud technologies such as Snowflake
  • Healthcare or Supply Chain analytics experience

Key Success Factors

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Experience managing data and database operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a data-related field
  • Four years of experience in data management, analysis, and operations
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel among BSWH facility sites, including overnight stays, up to 5% of business days per year
  • Ability to operate successfully in hybrid or in-office environments as dictated by policy
