Business Data Analyst -Project Delivery Senior Analyst - AI & Engineering
Job Description
Deloitte’s AI and Engineering practice in Philadelphia is seeking a seasoned Business Data Analyst within Project Delivery to collaborate with product owners and stakeholders, transforming analytics needs into actionable Agile work. The role delivers ad-hoc analysis, dashboards, and runbooks while supporting user acceptance testing and release activities on client projects, with a salary range of USD 69,000 to 127,000 per year and a bachelor’s degree requirement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to capture analytics needs, including problem statements, scope, assumptions, and success metrics (KPIs).
- Translate requirements into Agile/SAFe-ready artifacts such as epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items; assist with sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team coordination.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and quick-turn reporting, generating directional insights and lightweight dashboards in Tableau or Power BI; work with BI/reporting developers to scale high-usage reporting.
- Support recurring analyses and reports (monthly, biweekly, or weekly as applicable): define requirements, validate outputs with stakeholders, and maintain runbooks.
- Coordinate or support UAT and release/change activities, including dependency tracking, risk/issue management, and stakeholder communications in line with governance standards.
- Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers, project team members, and representatives from diverse functional and technical teams, escalating matters when additional attention is needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of analytics and data skills, including strong analytical thinking, framing ambiguous questions, SQL proficiency for querying and validating datasets, and advanced Excel use.
- 4+ years of experience with BI tooling, hands-on with Tableau and/or Power BI, plus an understanding of metric definitions and dashboard usability.
- 4+ years of structured storytelling experience in PowerPoint.
- 4+ years of familiarity with Snowflake.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% depending on client work and engagement needs.
