Data Analyst - Talent & Culture (contract)
Job Description
A contract Data Analyst will join KPMG to support the firm’s Talent & Culture data initiatives from a remote setting. This role emphasizes turning data into actionable insights through analytics, dashboard development, and management reporting that enable informed decisions across the organization. Collaboration with senior stakeholders and executive-level presentation of findings are key components of the position.
Responsibilities
- Lead data analytics projects that underpin KPMG’s Talent & Culture functions, translating business questions into structured analytics workstreams.
- Explore, interpret, and communicate qualitative and quantitative data; apply statistical methods, data validity checks, and visualization to uncover meaningful patterns and actionable insights, then present conclusions that guide decisions.
- Establish and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders and engage effectively with company executives.
- Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports with a focus on user experience, data consolidation, and modernization to extract insights from T&C analytics products.
- Analyze end-to-end processes and data from multiple sources to identify inconsistencies, propose improvements, and advance KPI definitions and reporting.
- Own or contribute to every component of client deliverables, from identifying stakeholder needs to producing presentations and reports and presenting findings or solutions.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of management reports, analytics, and executive summaries aligned with corporate timelines and standards to support decision-making.
- Partner with HR functions to ensure cohesive delivery of Talent & Culture analysis and foster unified data management practices.
- Lead specified improvement initiatives aimed at elevating operational and functional excellence within Talent & Culture processes.
- Maintain integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of recent experience in data analytics, people analytics, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Power BI and SSRS.
- Experience programming with SQL, Python, and Alteryx.
- Proven ability to negotiate and communicate with C-suite executives and translate data into business outcomes.
- Experience in project management, including planning, organizing, coordinating, and guiding teams toward successful completion.
- Authorized to work in the United States without need for sponsorship now or in the future (no visa sponsorship available for this role).
