Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead data science initiatives, develop algorithms, and deliver data-driven insights to clients from its onsite office in Alexandria, Virginia. The role emphasizes translating client questions into analytical solutions and guiding teams to implement models that inform strategic decisions in real-world contexts.

Responsibilities

• Apply leadership and data science expertise to drive measurable impact on client outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their questions, then explore data-rich environments to uncover the information needed.
• Guide teammates and oversee the development of algorithms and data systems.
• Balance tools and frameworks to transform disparate data points into objective answers that support informed decisions.
• Deliver deep data understanding, explain what the data means, and show how it can be used.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data science experience, including quantitative analysis, developing visualizations, and processing complex data to generate insights.
• 4+ years of experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and cloud architectures.
• Experience leveraging APIs to query systems and migrate data.
• Proficiency with Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience implementing data manipulation and ETL procedures.
• Experience developing and sustaining operational data pipelines that support multiple data formats and interfaces.
• Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, or lightweight web applications to communicate key insights.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information to audiences with varying technical knowledge.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics.

Clearance

Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

The projected annualized salary range is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 USD. Actual pay is determined by factors including location, education, skills, experience, and contract requirements.
