Marketing Data Scientist Senior Associate - Consumer Bank

The Senior Associate Marketing Data Scientist role sits within JPMorgan Chase's Consumer Bank and is based onsite in Columbus, Ohio. The position centers on measuring marketing effectiveness, building present value models, and turning analytical insights into strategic recommendations that support customer acquisition and campaign optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and review present value calculations and underlying assumptions to evaluate acquisition quality and the performance of marketing investments.
• Provide analytical support for deposit marketing programs, including campaign insights, recommendations, and strategic direction.
• Contribute to portfolio investment optimization and produce business-facing quality assumptions that guide marketing spend decisions.
• Support finance processes by delivering inputs for budgeting and forecasting, including return on investment and cost-benefit evaluations.
• Advise on experimental design and data collection, collaborating with stakeholders and other Data & Analytics teams to shape strategies.
• Interpret analytical results and present findings to stakeholders and senior management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
• Engage in innovation efforts to advance analytical methods while maintaining a robust controls environment to ensure timely and accurate results.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's and Master's degrees in quantitative fields such as Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Experience: 3+ years applying statistical methods to real-world problems.
• SQL: 3+ years of data analysis experience using SQL.
• R: 3+ years of analytics work with R.
• Finance workstreams: Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and return on investment or cost-benefit evaluations.
• Experimental design: Hands-on experience with A/B testing and incrementality testing, including design, statistical significance evaluation, and translating results into business recommendations.
• AI-assisted development tools: Proficiency with AI-enabled tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar to accelerate analysis and coding.
• Data visualization: Experience creating visuals for analysis and presentation.
• Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively across levels and partner groups.
