Radiology Data Analyst

San Antonio, TX onsite Radiology Data Analyst role at South Texas Radiology Group, P.A. focuses on analyzing clinical and operational data to improve workflow efficiency and overall performance, with radiology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards to monitor Relative Value Units and sub-specialty workloads
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
• Track key performance indicators and quality metrics
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from radiology systems, including RIS, PACS, and EHR
• Collaborate with clinical operations and administrative teams to pinpoint workflow gaps and work with physicians to implement solutions
• Analyze scheduling, staffing, procedure volumes, and turnaround times
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to support clinical operations and business decisions
• Prepare materials for clinical meetings, document action items, and ensure follow-through
• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for clinical stakeholders
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive physician performance data
• Facilitate communication between clinical and administrative teams

Requirements

• Minimum of three years in clinical or healthcare data analysis with radiology experience required
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical or programming language (Python, R, SAS)
• Experience working with EHR, RIS, and/or PACS systems
• Experience supporting quality initiatives or clinical improvement projects
• Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics and improvement methodologies
• Ability to leverage AI assistants for report generation, data interpretation, and administrative tasks
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data modeling
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data clearly
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and capable of working with minimal supervision and highly confidential information
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative but collegial environment while maintaining duties
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field
