Senior Principal Data Scientist (Marketing Channel Optimization)
Job Description
Use organizational data to build predictive solutions and optimize marketing channel performance with advanced, largely unsupervised analytics.
Responsibilities
- Direct existing principles and guide development of new policies
- Deliver innovative solutions using exploratory data analysis across complex, high-dimensional datasets
- Spot opportunities, define business questions, and uncover valuable insights
- Formulate and test hypotheses; analyze and interpret results
- Develop and code the most complex software programs, algorithms, and automated processes
- Translate complex business and technical needs into technology objectives
- Document and present analytical findings using effective written and verbal communication to support critical decisions
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor for highly complex work
- Maintain and foster strong working relationships with team members, subject matter experts, and senior leaders
- Research and apply new best practices, including ethical AI practices
- Advise senior leaders with analytical insights and solutions to solve business problems
- May lead complex technical projects and initiatives with significant impact
- Lead development and enhancement of practices, procedures, and instructions
- Act as a lead technical resource for other team members
- Mentor and support leading lower levels
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- In-depth professional knowledge, acumen, and concepts; requires a specialized skill set
- Solid understanding of business dynamics and strategy
- Expertise across statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, trend analysis, visualization, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns
- Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Scala, AWS
- Project Management skills
- Model lifecycle execution
- Technical writing; data storytelling and technical presentation skills
- Research skills, interpersonal skills, and mentoring
- Communication, critical thinking, and thought leadership
- Initiative with sound judgment
- Technical capabilities (Big Data Analysis, coding, project management, technical writing, etc.)
- Independent judgment (extensive experience)
- Problem solving that recognizes potential issues and risks for long-term implications
- Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar quantitative field

Compensation
- Salary range: USD 150,100 - 206,450 per year
- Paid within the salary range based on experience, location, and market position
