Clinical Data Analyst
Job Description
This role supports data collection and analysis for clinical research, REDCap system administration, data management, and performance improvement initiatives at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, Ohio with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Support performance improvement related to the Linder Center's clinical outcomes.
- Serve as the REDCap system administrator and primary contact.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to build new studies and provide training and support within the system.
- Assist the research department with ad hoc tasks and reporting as needed.
- Support the VAD department with monthly PI measures as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of NextGen electronic medical record (EMR).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and MS Project is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating systems.
- Project management experience handling complex or multiple projects in clinical or operational settings.
- Proficiency with PC-based software and automated database management systems.
- Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills, with solid analytical, problem-solving, and time/project management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to gather critical information, maintain good relationships, issue clear and timely requests, follow up, and set appropriate boundaries.
- Experience administering REDCap is required.

Clinical Research
- Provide support to the Lindner Clinical Trial Center Outcomes Medical Director for data collection and analysis in research studies.
- Develop abstracts and posters for publications and conference presentations.
- Use NextGen EMR and Lumedx to query data to meet study requirements.
- Offer support for statistical analysis of research studies.
- Assist the research department with daily and monthly tasks as needed.
- Utilize EPIC for data cleaning and trial review as required.
- Review and clean data on research trials as needed.
REDCap System Administration
- Ensure REDCap remains an integral part of Lindner daily workflows and other departments for trial builds; provide REDCap training, implementation work, and alignment with Christ Hospital clinical guidelines.
- Deliver high quality REDCap solutions that meet the information needs of Lindner Centers and other departments.
- Assist Lindner departmental managers, other departments, frontline staff, and physicians in identifying configurations and customizations for REDCap.
- Support solution review and feedback sessions with Lindner departments and physicians.
- Determine appropriate REDCap user permissions for each individual.
- Maintain system security, coordinate downtime and upgrades as needed, and serve as the main REDCap contact.
- Perform other REDCap duties as needed.
Project Management
- Ensure REDCap project goals and objectives are achieved within prescribed time frames.
- Act as the primary REDCap contact to triage project tasks.
- Provide necessary assistance and training to staff.
Data Management
- Create and update dashboards to monitor performance and improvements in key metrics.
- Serve as REDCap system administrator and main contact.
- Work directly with physicians and staff to update data and forms in REDCap as needed.
- Assist departments with data gathering and related tasks as needed.
Performance Improvement
- Support performance improvement initiatives across teams by identifying process improvements, recommending and implementing solutions, and measuring outcomes to inform changes.
- Contribute to best practice initiatives aligned with Christ Hospital clinical guidelines.
Professional Development
- Promote a positive image of The Christ Hospital within the public and professional communities.
- Foster skill development and empowerment among professional staff through a coaching approach.
- Support adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
