Senior Marketing Data Analyst
Job Description
As a Senior Marketing Data Analyst, you will lead end-to-end marketing research and insights delivery for B2B SaaS clients, combining survey execution, data analysis, and clear data storytelling across client-facing projects. The role is hybrid in Framingham, MA and supports thought leadership work while contributing to internal research development, including opportunities to help build Flowerplot.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and design quantitative and qualitative surveys for professionals and consumers, including selecting question types, implementing logic, and ensuring each survey meets client needs, prevents bias, supports statistically meaningful results, and aligns with research goals.
- Manage full survey execution with panel providers (Centiment, Pollfish, Alchemer, CleverX, QuestionPro, and others), including uploading surveys, launching, reviewing soft-launch results, retrieving data for analysis, and running interviews or focus groups when needed.
- Clean and validate raw survey exports by detecting outliers, removing low-quality responses, and reshaping datasets to support analysis.
- Extract insights and develop data visualizations from CSV or XLSX datasets using pivot tables or an internal analysis platform, while maintaining high data quality and translating complex findings into plain-language takeaways for non-technical clients and content teams.
- Retrieve and manipulate data from client dashboards and data warehouses to produce visualizations and support insight gathering for the content marketing team.
- Manage timelines and deliverables and communicate professionally with clients throughout each research cycle.
- Develop ideas for new research projects in partnership with content marketing and PR or media teams, identifying topics based on industry research gaps and opportunities.
- Support the creation and editing of thought leadership assets (blog posts, executive bylines, reports, and articles) by ensuring data accuracy and strategic alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
- 3 to 6+ years of experience in market research or survey-based research.
- Ability to extract clear, compelling narratives from data.
- Proven ability to design and execute quantitative surveys from scratch, including questionnaire writing, sampling strategy, and field management.
- Demonstrated track record pulling insights for B2B SaaS marketing teams, with a strong understanding of the industry and team needs.
- Experience managing 10+ concurrent projects with competing deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience managing client relationships and expectations.
