Quince in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Growth to own the automated bidding infrastructure and end-to-end production ML models that optimize a global performance marketing spend. This onsite role carries a salary range of USD 171,000 to 198,000 per year and offers autonomy to drive growth with direct access to executive leadership.
The right candidate will ship machine learning solutions from concept to production, tackling high-impact optimization problems in a fast-moving environment while collaborating across marketing, product, and data science teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the core automated bidding system and allocation algorithms to model where the next advertising dollar yields the best return.
- Build end-to-end production ML models from 0 to 1 with immediate, observable impact on the company’s top line.
- Design, build, and productionalize autonomous models and data pipelines that automate operational logic and improve spend efficiency.
- Manage ad platform integrations, bidding automation, and optimize complex marketing technology workflows.
- Advance automated processes for design and creative production.
- Operate as an independent contributor, deep-diving into complex systems and addressing loosely defined optimization and statistical challenges.
- Collaborate across marketing, product, and data science domains while maintaining high-visibility access to executive leadership.
Requirements
- 2+ years of technical experience, including at least 1 year in a corporate or industry setting.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Proven track record as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or ML Researcher with hands-on experience deploying models into live production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of working independently on loosely defined optimization and statistical problems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively with cross-functional partners and leadership.
- Ability to dive deep into complex systems within a fast-paced, high-leverage entrepreneurial environment without a large supporting infrastructure.
