Responsibilities

Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and Treasury teammates to deploy machine learning based predictive data models for cash flow forecasting
Leverage Power BI to craft reports and dashboards that yield actionable insights for measuring, forecasting, investing, borrowing, and risk management
Develop SQL queries and automated workflows to extract and manipulate data for analytical needs
Partner with other departments to gather forward-looking business data to enhance forecasting models
Design, validate, and run data quality and integrity checks to ensure reliable analytical outputs
Translate business questions and requirements into technical logic and analytical solutions
Present insights, assumptions, and limitations clearly through visuals and dialogue to audiences ranging from operators to senior leadership

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or other quantitative field
2+ years of data analytics or financial analysis within treasury, finance or related business function
High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and data integrity
Ability to synthesize large datasets, interpret financial statements, analyze cash flow projections, and understand financial ratios
Analytical mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and managing multiple priorities
Effective communication skills to convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders across all levels

Job Description

Tesla, Fremont, CA onsite, seeks a Machine Learning Engineer in Global Supply Chain to design, develop, and deploy forecasting, optimization, and recommendation ML models using data from diverse sources.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy ML models for supply chain forecasting, including demand prediction, inventory optimization, and risk assessment, leveraging supervised learning, convolutional neural networks, and tools such as PyTorch and Pandas.
Collaborate with supply chain planners to integrate models into existing platforms, enabling real-time decision making for supplier selection, warehouse allocation, cost reduction, and mitigation of part availability risks.
Validate models and monitor performance to ensure sustained accuracy in production environments.
Own production models, maintaining robust alerting systems for rapid issue resolution and ongoing maintenance.
Work with diverse, heterogeneous datasets (supply, demand, seasonality) to build scalable, end-to-end solutions.
Translate ambiguous problems into concrete ML solutions and deliver complete modeling pipelines.
Adhere to agile development practices and maintain clean, modular, and maintainable code.

Requirements

Proven experience scaling and optimizing inference for large ML models, with emphasis on transformers or similar architectures.
Familiarity with quantization-aware training, model compression, and distillation for edge and real-time inference.
Proficiency in Python and C++, and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
Strong understanding of computer systems and architecture, with experience deploying ML models on GPUs, TPUs, or NPUs.
