Noblis is supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) through work in the Program Management Organization (PMO), focused on the Air Traffic Systems and Surveillance Services directorates. In this role, you will manage, analyze, and communicate aviation-related data to support operational efficiency, safety, and decision-making across the National Airspace System (NAS).
This position is available remote, and includes responsibilities spanning data review, predictive analysis, operational analysis, research, metrics development, database querying, documentation, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
What you will do
- Review aviation-related information to support decision-making on flight routes, spending practices, employee efficiency, safety, and aviation regulations, including national security.
- Use data to generate predictions and estimations across aviation topics.
- Perform operational analysis and develop concepts of operations.
- Analyze architecture, overall systems design, concepts of operations, and implementation plans.
- Conduct research and analysis that meets quality standards for focused, structured questions.
- Apply standard, routine, and well-established analytic methodologies to produce logical, traceable, objective, and unbiased analysis.
- Collect data, create metrics, and perform related analyses.
- Query databases using SQL and classify and summarize data for report preparation and submission.
- Document and review standard operating procedures, policies, event reports, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Communicate technical and non-technical information effectively to a range of audiences.
What you will need
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (or substitutions described by level).
- Ability to successfully pass an FAA background investigation/verification and receive a successful final suitability determination.
- Ability to construct effective briefings using MS PowerPoint, with intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, and presenting data.
- Skilled in programming (R or Python), statistics, SQL, data visualization, and core data analysis fundamentals.
- Experience applying data analytic methods in an operational environment, including:
- Statistical Analysis
- Predictive Modeling
- Time Series Analysis
- Geospatial Analysis
- Data Visualization
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship or green card permanent resident, with residence in the U.S. for 3+ years.

Pay range by level
- Junior-level: $53,280 - $135,625 (USD)
- Mid-level: $78,120 - $180,525 (USD)
- Senior-level: $103,950 - $240,350 (USD)

Locations
Locations may vary depending on the project location. Some primary on-site locations include Washington, D.C., Egg Harbor, NJ, and Oklahoma City, OK.
