Data Analyst
Job Description
Support data-driven decisions for nonprofit clients by building actionable marketing analytics. This remote Data Analyst role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting marketing data across diverse channels, with a strong emphasis on reporting and dashboards, data transformation, and advanced analytics using SQL, Python, Power BI, and Excel. You’ll collaborate with teams that understand clients’ programs deeply, helping turn complex inputs into clear insights.
Your impact
- Design and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and other business tools that inform client strategy.
- Use coding skills to transform raw data into usable information for Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools.
- Deploy automated procedures that improve efficient data ingestion and data transformation.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and outliers that guide decisions.
- Partner with internal team members to deepen understanding of clients’ programs and produce more relevant analysis.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Detect errors in data files or reports and take steps to resolve them.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role
- Experience in direct marketing (preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Effective communication, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
- Familiarity with fundraising metrics, file segmentation techniques, and direct marketing strategy
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Python; Snowflake experience is a plus
- Fundamental understanding of relational database design and reporting systems
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables
- Experience with statistical analysis concepts such as randomized controlled trials, hypothesis testing, summary statistics, and regression, along with explanatory and predictive modeling frameworks
- Experience with direct marketing and attribution across channels including direct mail, website, digital advertising, email, and direct response TV
- Strong attention to detail, including the ability to identify anomalies, determine root cause, and correct underlying issues
