As a Senior Data Analyst, you collect, organize, and analyze data from a variety of sources to provide context and actionable recommendations. You use statistical methods and data analysis techniques to describe how the business is operating. You also integrate, transform, and improve large volumes of data at the project or company level to support streamlined processes, higher efficiency, and better-informed decisions. In this role, you will demonstrate leadership with peers and maintain extremely deep knowledge of your industry and business.

- Proactively identify and communicate business opportunities and recommendations using data manipulation, programming, statistics, and data visualization
- Use data to support and challenge business solutions with executive leadership and other stakeholders
- Lead design and validation across all phases of research projects, including presenting results and guiding iterative improvement
- Maintain relationships and alignment among stakeholders to achieve objectives
- Define, gather, and validate project data requirements and assess data quality
- Evaluate the quality of organizational data sources
- Create and support business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, reports, or related methods
- Document technical design standards for reporting solutions to support accurate development
- Use exploratory data analysis to investigate assumptions, documenting and applying findings
- Identify and analyze relevant external data to monitor the competitive environment
- Stay current on industry and business trends relevant to the data
- Mentor teammates on the responsibilities listed above
About you
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline, mathematics, applied statistics, information technology, or a related field
- 4 years of experience or equivalent competency identifying business problems, conducting data experiments, performing statistical analysis, and synthesizing findings to guide business decisions
- Experience leading end-to-end data analysis projects that result in positive business changes
- Expertise creating data visualizations using modern business intelligence (BI) tools and emphasizing insights as relevant
- Proficiency with industry-standard statistical analysis tools such as SAS, R, or Python
- Experience training and mentoring peers
- Experience creating data sets with advanced SQL or other querying languages and using them to develop business strategies
- Experience researching data lineage
- Advanced practical knowledge of standard statistical measures, probability theory, and both qualitative and quantitative techniques
- Experience working with data warehouses
- Experience with data mining or other exploratory techniques
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data
- Experience writing software functions to support data analysis
- Experience contributing to standards and processes that increase efficiency and impact
- Conceptual knowledge of logical and physical data models
- Domain knowledge across multiple business areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of at least one business area and its data, including industry or other external sources
- Experience across several business areas and familiarity with associated data
- Conceptual knowledge of big data, machine learning, or data science
