Make developer-focused product growth measurable. In this Senior Data Analyst role on Oktaβs Developer Led Growth (DLG) team, youβll build the analytics foundation that turns activity into clear metrics and actionable insights for teams across product, marketing, sales, finance, and operations. Youβll work within a two-person data team where you can own your domain end-to-end, supported by an experienced tech lead who partners with you on the toughest problems.
Based in Chicago, IL (hybrid), this position pairs strong analytics ownership with practical collaboration. Youβll deliver decision-ready dashboards and data models, run and interpret A/B experiments, and help automate manual work using AI tools, custom SQL, and creative approaches.
What youβll do
- Build and maintain a single source of truth for DLG performance using Tableau dashboards plus Snowflake Streamlit and dbt models.
- Turn complex, cross-functional data into clear narratives and recommendations for stakeholders across product, marketing, sales, finance, and ops.
- Proactively spot gaps, discrepancies, and opportunities in the data, then communicate findings in a way that drives action.
- Own your analytics roadmap prioritization: scope requests, push back when needed, and make tradeoffs transparent.
- Analyze A/B experiments and DLG initiatives, including designing measurement frameworks that stand up to scrutiny.
- Automate and scale workflows using AI tools, custom SQL, and other approaches to reduce manual effort.
- Write clean, well-documented SQL and dbt models that other teammates can confidently build on.
What you bring
- Communication and stakeholder management: explain complex findings to both non-technical executives and data engineers, write clearly, listen well, and push back when requirements are unclear or incorrectly scoped.
- Prioritization: experience operating in a high-demand environment with a clear framework for deciding what matters most and the ability to bring stakeholders along with transparent reasoning.
- Creative thinking: question whether the right problem is being solved and uncover insights that surprise the people asking for the analysis.
- AI proficiency: actively use AI tools (LLM assistants, code tools, automation) in daily work and describe concretely how they change what you can produce.
- Technical depth: 5+ years in data analytics with strong SQL and data modeling skills; dbt, Snowflake, Tableau, and Git are preferred.
