Accenture seeks an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Data Engineer to design, develop, and operationalize AI agents, large-scale data pipelines, and machine learning solutions that enable enterprise automation and analytics. This contract role is based onsite in Morristown, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operationalize AI agents, expansive data pipelines, and ML models to support automation and analytics initiatives across the enterprise.
- Apply strong engineering practices with expertise in large language models and agent architectures to deploy AI systems securely and reliably within regulated environments.
- Maintain a solid understanding of LLM integration, function calling patterns, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration.
- Deploy machine learning models using MLflow, Azure ML, SageMaker, Kubeflow, or comparable platforms.
- Proficient in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, or equivalent ML frameworks.
- Build scalable data pipelines utilizing Spark, Databricks, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of retrieval augmented generation patterns, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma, Milvus, Redis), and embedding optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Integration of AI agents with enterprise APIs, microservices, and workflow systems.
- Familiarity with reasoning models, transformer architectures, and applicable enterprise AI use cases.
- Know-how of cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with streaming technologies including Kafka, EventHub, and Kinesis.
- Understanding of Responsible AI concepts, including model fairness, bias detection, and safety filters.
- Experience operating within high‑compliance environments such as financial services, healthcare, or government.
- Onsite 3 days per week in Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, ML Engineering, AI Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one additional programming language (Scala, Java, or Go).
- Hands-on experience designing AI agents, toolchains, and agent frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
- Associate\u2019s Degree.
- Onsite 3 days per week in Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ.
- Industry certification in Azure, AWS, or GCP Data or AI Engineering is a plus.
