Liberty Mutual is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to design and scale data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions that support personal lines auto pricing. This remote role collaborates with data scientists and analysts, and includes mentoring junior engineers while leveraging Python, Snowflake, and SQL to drive pricing analytics. The annual salary ranges from USD 106,000 to 197,000.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support the organization's analytical needs.
- Conduct complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, identifying issues and changes with the data and communicating solutions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide tailored analytics solutions.
- Implement and enforce data quality and governance standards to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security.
- Design and implement robust data models that facilitate data accessibility and efficient querying for analysis and reporting.
- Utilize Python, Snowflake, and SQL queries to build robust data solutions and for profiling data.
- Stay informed of industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics and engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior data analytics engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Requirements
- Have strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python; familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS. Experience with dbt or Databricks is a plus.
- Demonstrate 5+ years of experience in data analysis, product/business analytics, or data engineering.
- Possess proven experience managing analytics or data projects and coordinating cross-functional workstreams, with demonstrated ability to deliver on time and communicate progress to varied audiences.
- Have practical experience collaborating in Agile teams and applying Agile best practices (sprint planning, refinement, retrospective).
- Be experienced with data quality practices, monitoring, and validation approaches to ensure reliable inputs for analytics and decision-making.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Master`s in same or related disciplines strongly preferred.
- 5-7+ years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in Python, SQL, ETL, Spark, Snowflake.
- 5-7+ years experience as developer with top quadrant Business Intelligence tools.
